Peninsula - 66.4 km to 86.0 km

The weather was warm and sunny with no bugs.

The Sept. 20th hike started at the parking area off County Rd #9 in Barrow Bay and ended at the Harbour in Lion's Head, 66.4 to 81.8. The section 81.8 to 86.0 was hiked on September 21, 2015. (the following section.)

The picture on the right shows the escarpment outcropping that gave the Town of Lion's Head its name.

The Lion's Head

A pothole created by glacial action many eons ago. Below Andy hikes on the rim of a much larger pothole.

I was able to climb into a pothole and in the picture below Andy is looking in.

The Steve takes a picture of me from above.

We arrive at the Lion's Head harbour where he had rented two cabins at the Beach Motel.
