Descendants of John URQUHART & Janet MUNRO

John URQUHART was described as a Master Tailor, he and his wife Janet MUNRO were married in Evanton , Kiltearn Parish, Rosshire, Scotland, where all their children were born.

Their son George married Margaret Polson in Tain , Ross & Cromarty and their children where all born in the Parish of Tarbat by Fearn .in Rosshire. In 1861 George Urquhart was Inn Keeper at the Jemimaville , Public House. west of Cromarty, Cromartyshire, Scotland. They raised a family of at least eight children. Their daughter Lilias emigrated to Prince Edward County, Ontario, Canada, and married William MacSteven and started this branch of the MacStephen Family in Canada and the USA.
