Descendants of Thomas BARNES & Mary Elizabeth PHILLIPS

Thomas BARNES and Elizabeth PHILLIPS were both born in England. They were apparently married about 1848 in Fullerton Township, Perth County where atleast two of their ten children were born. In 1861 Census of Elderslie they appear to be living on the Brant-Elderslie Townline just east of Ellengowan and by 1867 they had relocated to Lots 14 & 16, Con cession 10 in Brant Township.
Thomas died in 1888 and is buried in the Paisley Cemetery. Their daughter Harriet married William CORMACK and some of the family moved to Amabel Township where Elizabeth passed away in 1905.
