John and Charloote were marrried at Tilshead, Wiltshire, England. Their first five children were born at Tilshead and the others were born at Chitterne. Both villages are located near the centre of Salisbury Plain in Wiltshire.(Early home of Winnie the Pooh)

Upon the outbreak of World War I in August 1914, Lt. Harry Colebourn purchased a young bear cub for $20 at a train stop in White River, Ontario.Colebourn named the bear Winnipeg , Winnie for short, after his home city of Winnipeg, Manitoba. Winnie accompanied him to Valcartier and all the way to England, becoming the mascot of the e Second Canadian Infantry Brigade bivouaced on Salibury Plain.



Jill Elizabeth LEFEBVRE was born and raised in Bronte (now Oakville, Ontario) and currently lives in Milton, Ontario,with her husband John HOMORODEAN. She is a direct descendant of the captioned couple, see her Pedigree Chart
