First Generation  Next

1. Henry SERGISON was born in 1790-1800 in , , County Down, Northern Ireland and died before 1871.

It is not known if Henry ever came to Canada. His eldest son William and family came to Canada before 1857. Henry's second wife Elizabeth Davison, her daughter Margaret and son Joseph arrived in Paisley in 1861. Henry's daughter Bessie, her husband James SAYERS and four children arrived in 1875.
I have made an assumprtion that Henry SERGISON was maried twice. Elizabeth must have been his second wife because the best information I have implies she was born abt 1805. The oldest son William's birth date has been variously recorded from 1816 to 1820. This would make Elizabeth somewhat young to be his mother. Also there seems to be a second family born in the 1840's.

Henry married UNKNOWN.

Children from this marriage were:

+ 3 F    ii. Elizabeth "Bessie" SERGISON was born in 1823 in , , County Down, Northern Ireland,1 died on July 28, 1888 in Paisley, Bruce Co, Ontario, Canada1 aged 65, and was buried in Paisley Cemetery, Bruce Co, Ontario, Canada.

Henry next married Elizabeth DAVISON, daughter of Paul DAVISON and Evelyn ANDERSON, in , , , Ireland. Elizabeth was born in 1805 in , , , Ireland and died after 1891 in , Bruce Co, Ontario, Canada.

As per Grandpa Marshall Watson 1890-1970 there was a family connection between the Sergison and Watson families. But he did not know how. I believe Elizabeth is the connection and is very likely a sister to James Davison 1809-1892, Marshall's grandfather..
