Descendants of Peter MATHESON & Christina MacLEOD

Peter and Christina's daughter Sarah married Angus GILLIES in 1829 in Uig Parish on the Isle of Lewis. They had at least six children and were living in Stornoway in 1851. By 1861 most of the family had emigrated to Huron Township, Bruce County, Ontario, and shortly there after Sarah and Angus' daughter Jessie married Andrew MacINTOSH in Goderich.



Patricia ROE, who's mother, Jessie Laverne MacINTOSH (1908-2004) was a direct descendant of the captioned couple. On Jessie's Pedigree Chart we see the following Ancestral families: MacINTOSH / GILLIES / MATHESON; John MacLEOD & Isabella MacLEOD & Alex GRAHAM & Mary MacIVER*.
