Descendants of Francis & Mary LEWIS

Francis and Mary apparently met and married in the "New World", he being from England and she from Scotland. Their oldest child I could find was apparently born in Coxheath, Cape Breton, just SW of Sydney. Francis taught school in Lingan on the north shore of Cape Breton just NW of Sydney in 1871. In 1881 the family was in Gabarus in the east shore and after Mary passed away Francis lived with his daughter Catherine Curry in Cow Bay, now called Port Morien. Catherine's husband Archibald Curry had passed away about 1889.

Barbara BREADNER married David CORMACK, a Paisley native, and has lived all her married life in the village. Barb is a direct descendant of the captioned couple, see her Pedigree Chart.
