Raoul LEFEBVRE dit LACROIX (1563- 1650) and Magdeleine ERASBLE (1569-1620) were married about 1590 in Perche, Orne, Normandie, France. One of their sons, Mathieu married Anne LeFRANCIOS and their son Louis LEFEBVRE (1627-1683) emigrated to North America circa 1650, settling in New France. Louis married Catherine FERRE in Champlain, a settlement on the north shore of the St. Lawrence just east of Trois-Rivieres.
Louis and Catherine's gggggg grandson, Joseph "Rene" LEFEBVRE apparently had a fleeting relationship with Euphemia SAUNDERS resulting in a daughter Jean being born out of wedlock in Port Elgin on November 24, 1915. Jean was adopted by Daunt and Louisa METCALFE of Greenock Township, Bruce County and they named their chosen daughter Florence Mae METCALFE.
Another son Nicolas LEFEBVRE (160-1687) married Marie VAUVERIN in 1626 in Normandie, France and their son Pierre LEFEBVRE (1627-1687) emigrated to North America circa 1650, settling in New France. Pierre married Marie CHATAIGNE in Beauport, a settlement on the north shore of the St. Lawrence just east of Quebec City. One of Pierre and Marie's descendants is Jill LEFEBVRE married to John HOMERODEAN and currently living in Milton, Ontario.
