Descendants of Rowland BELL and Susanna MEARES

Rowland BELL Sr. b.1767 and Susanne MEARES 1774, were both born in County Queens, Ireland where they had a family of at least nine children. The family emigrated to Upper Canada circa 1830 and apparently settled in Oxford County. Their son Rowland Jr. b.1880 married Elizabeth SHORT circa 1832 in Upper Canada and apparently settled in King Township, York County, where the had a family of at least eight children. By 1861 this family had relocated to Bruce County, Ontario where they settled on 100 acres, Lot 25, Concession 12 in Elderslie Township.
