SHEANE, Chester Daniel, On Tuesday July 20, 1999 at the Riverview Health Centre, surrounded by his family, Chester Daniel Sheane passed away at the age of 77 years, following a lengthy battle with cancer. Chester was born in Fairlight, Saskatchewan where he farmed with his dad and brothers until he moved to Winnipeg in 1948, where he worked for the CNR for ten years. He went to school for four years taking electronics and T.V. repairs then opened his own business, Clearview Sales and Service which he ran for 25 years. Chester enjoyed many years at the Whiteshell with his wife Violet where he fished and entertained family and friends for over 40 years. Chester will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 41 years Violet, son Jack (Fran) Skeates of Prince George, BC, grandson Doug (Maurie) Skeates and great-grandchildren; Chelsey, Amanda and Christopher of Prince George, BC, brother Clifford Sheane, sisters; Viola (Roy) McTavish, Theresa McMullen of Moosomin, SK, brother-in-law Lewis Craig and sisters-in-law Glorya Irwin, and Dorothy Sheane, as well as many nieces, nephews and their families. He was predeceased by his parents William and Elizabeth Sheane, step-mother Violet Sheane, sister Evelyne and brother-in-law Ralph McMullen Funeral Service 1:00 p.m. Friday, July 23, at Bardal Funeral Home, 843 Sherbrook Street, Winnipeg, Manitoba.
