Charles Kelly,passed away Thursday, July 2nd, 1970 at Saugeen Memorial Hospital, Southampton, in his 86th year.Born on the 2nd Concession of Saugeen, Nov. 10th, 1884, he was the son of the late Theophilus Kelly and Mary McPhee,
On April 2, 1919, he married Annie Cairns of Saugeen who predeceased him on September 2, 1950. Mr. Kelly was a member of the Port Elgin United Church, and had served formerly on the Session and as Sunday School Superintendent of St. Andrew's
United Church, Saugeen.
He is survived by one daughter, Isobel, Mrs. James Bell; one son, Charles William, both of Saugeen Township; seven grandchildren; also two sisters, Margaret, Mrs.George Hopkins, Penticton, B.C., and Anne, Mrs. J.E.Johnston, of Port Elgin. I-le was predeceased by
three brothers and six sisters. Funeral services were held on Sunday, July 5th, from the Davey Funeral Chapel, Port Elgin, conducted by the Rev. Ross Cumming. lnterment was in Sanctuary Park Cemetery, Port Elgin.
Pailbearers were Robert Thomas, James McEwing, Floss Currie, Alex MacDouogall, Kent Lamont, And Harold Sutherland. Grand- children acted as flower bearers.
