Charles ROY and Marie-Jeanne BOYER were married in Normnadie, France in 1635. Atleast two of their children, Jean and Pierre, emigrated to New France in the Americas. Pierre Roy (1643-1721) married Catherine DUCHARME (1657-1719) in 1672 at Ville Marie later call Montreal. This hardy couple had a least sixteen children. Pierre and Catherine's ggggggg grandson, Joseph "Rene" LEFEBVRE apparently had a fleeting relationship with Euphemia SAUNDERS resulting in a daughter Jean being born out of wedlock in Port Elgin on November 24, 1915. Jean was adopted by Daunt and Louisa METCALFE of Greenock Township, Bruce County and they named their chosen daughter Florence Mae METCALFE. |
