Descendants of John FRASER and Barbara CAMERON

John FRASER sailed from Scotland for Canada about 1826. He married Barbara CAMERON, also from Scotland about 1834 and he purchased 200 acres at Roseneath, Alnwick Twp, Ont. Here he farmed and also drove stage from Roseneath to Coburg. in 1951, John, Barbara and nine children took the long trek to Bruce County. They first settled in Saugeen Township on Lot 21 E.S.R. (east of the Saugeen River) and on Dec 16, 1854, John Fraser aquired Lot 34, Con A in Elderslie Twp. Both farms being on the Elora Road at the hamlet of Dumblane where John FRASER was postmaster for approx. 15 years.
