Descendants of Malcolm BLUE & Mary McMILLAN

Malcolm and Mary lived in Kirkbin on Colonsay in 1841. Malcolm apparently died in the late 1840's and Mary was living in Riskbuie with her sons John and Angus. In August, 1860 Mary along with Grizel, Barbara, Duncan, Angus, Alexander (Hamilton) and John (Fisher) arrived in New York City on board the Ocean Monarch. By 1861 they were settled in Arran Township, Bruce County, Ontario, Canada where several other families from Colonsay had earlier emigrated. Mary's son John, his wife Annie Canpbell and young daughter Mary joined them in Canada a year later.
