Descendants of William PICKARD & Jennet ATKINSON

William and Jennet's son Thomas married Frances CUNNINGHAM in Halton County and in the early 1860's the family relocated to Lot 35, Con 12, of Kincardine Twp which would soon become the centre of the thriving village of Glammis, Bruce County,Thomas established one of the first saw mills in the Greenock swamp and later opersted a sawmill, planing mill and cheesebox factory in Glammis.Thomas and Frances had seven children together before Mrs. Pickard died in 1876. Thomas remarried, to Annie (Howson) Leslie, a widow from Toronto, who came to Glammis with her infant son, Frank H. Leslie. Thomas Pickard and Annie also had three children together. Thomas grandson Frank H. Pickard later owned and operated a hardware business in Pailsey, Ontario.

Bruce Gregg
PICKARD (1933-1996) was boorn in Paisley, Ont, where Bruce and his father Frank before him opersted a Hardware business.Bruce first married Joan CHAMBERS and then Fern MAJURY*-STOUT . Bruce was a direct descendant of the captioned couple. See his Pedigree Chart.
