They had no children.

Obituary for CATHERINE ECTOR:
Mrs. Thomas Turnbull died suddenly at her home in Durham early Saturday morning. She had been ill for the past three months but her death was quite unexpected and a great shock to her family and friends. She was in her 80th year.
The late Mrs. Turnbull was the former Catherine Ector , daughter of the late Robert and Frances McCallum Ector. She was born in Glenelg twp. and her whole life was spent in this district. She attended Edge Hill Public School and the Owen Sound Collegiate. In 1902 she was married to Thomas Turnbull and they resided on a farm north of Durham until Mr Turnbull's death in 1934. There was no family. Mrs. Turnbull sold the farm and moved into Durham with her sister Mrs. Weir.
Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Mildred Petch of Oshawa, who has been with her sister for sometime, and Mrs. E.C. Bradley (Margaret) of St Catherines. Two brothers, Robert and Archibald, and three sisters, Mrs. Fannie Moffat, Mrs. Sadie Little and Mrs. Elizabeth Weir, predeceased her.
Mrs. Turnbull was an active citizen of the town being a member of the Durham Women's' Institute, a former secretary-treasurer of the Board of Directors of the U.F.O. and a member of the Federation of Farm Women. She was also a member of the Durham Presbyterian Church.
A niece, Miss Robena Little of Long Branch, cared for her aunt during her illness.
The funeral was held Monday afternoon from the McTavish Funeral Chapel and was largely attended by friends and neighbors. Rev. G.L. Hamill was in charge of the service. and interment was in Durham Cemetery.
The pall bearers were John Newell, Herb Atkinson, George Newell, J.C. Hamilton, Earl Vessie and Arthur Edge.
The casket was surrounded by the beautiful floral tributes which were carried by Ellison Edge, Ronald Alexander, Archie Turnbull, Joseph Crutchley and George Turnbull.
Friends from a distance were Mr. and Mrs. Horace Moffat, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Alexander, Mr. Ronald Alexander, all of Pinkerton; Mr. and Mrs. Archie Petch, Oshawa; Mr. and Mrs. Winston Petch, Montreal; Mrs. Andrew Marshall and Miss Wilma of Neustadt; Mrs. E.E. Cook of Kitchener and Miss Robena Little of Long Branch.
