1. William TOLTON, son of Thomas TOLTON and Elizabeth (__?__), was born in 1772 in Brackley, , Oxfordshire, England and died in 1858 in Guelph Twp, Wellington Co, Ontario, Canada aged 86.
William and Elizabeth came to Canada with their family in 1830 and settled first in Guelph Twp, where he purchased 200 acres, lots 9, 10 and 11, con. 5, Eramosa Township, Wellngton County, Upper Canada, and paid $4 per acre for the same. He was a tailor by trade, and followed it for some years in connection with farming. William married Elizabeth WHITTEN on September 1, 1803 in Leicester, , Leicestershire, England.1 Elizabeth was born in 1772 in , , , England and died in 1852 in Guelph Twp, Wellington Co, Ontario, Canada aged 80.
