Mrs. Elda Coultes passed away Sunday, June 21, at her home, 133 James Street, Wingham, at the age of 72.
The former Elda Mae Caslick, Mrs. Coultes was a daughter of Earl Caslick and Mary Hill and was born in Culross Township on June 5, 1920. She was a member of the Wingham United Church, the United Church Women and the Wingham Lawn Bowling Club.
Left to mourn her death are her husband, Ronald Coultes, their family, Murray and Louise Coultes of Etobicoke, Lynda and Rae Lewis of R.R.2, Wingham, Joyce and Tom Miller of Wingham and Darlene and Bill Empey, R.R.2 Auburn. There are nine grandchildren, two sisters, Mrs. Wallace, (Aleita), Conn and Mrs. Russell (Erma) Ross and two brothers Wilford and Bill, all of Wingham.
Funeral service was conducted by Rev. J. Reg. Grant on Wednesday, June 24, at 2 p.m. at the McBurney Funeral Home. Interment followed in Wingham Cemetery.
Pall bearers were Fred Lewis, Alex Robertson, Gordon Mundel, Rae Lewis, Tom Miller and Bill Empey. Floral tributes were carried by Mark Lewis and Craig Empey.
