Malcolm and Ann had a daughter Mary born in Barvas Parish on the Isle of Lewis in Scotland. Mary CAMPBELL married John MacLEOD and they had at least eight children. Their daughter Margaret MacLEOD, born 1819 in Arnol on the Isle of Lewis married Donald SAUNDERS in 1842 and they had four children. Margaret died about 1852 and Donald soon remarried to Margaret SMITH, possibly in Scotland. The family emigated to Canada about 1853, first settling in Garafraxa Township, Wellington County, Ontario and then relocating to Huron Township, Bruce County. Donald and his second wife had six children born to them in Ontario.
Donald's eldest son James SAUNDERS married Janet "Jessie" GRAHAM and they had several children, one of whom was Euphemia. Phemie had a daughter Jean born out of wedlock in Port Elgin in November of 1915. Jean was adopted by Daunt and Louisa METCALFE of Greenock Township, Bruce County and they named their chosen daughter Florence Mae METCALFE.
