Last Tim's before Whitehorse !! There should be a warning sign. On the Alaska Hwy at 6:15 am. Saw three deer on the side of Hwy at Sikanni River.

Ken saw a bear, he said it was a female because it had a cute "bear ass".

North of Fort Nelson the road starts to climb

over the Summit Lake Pass, We weren't alone.

We keep climbing when

Stoney Mountain appears around the corner
Stop the car !! A real moose, quick where's the camara, Wow .......

Lake Muncho was the most spectacular scenery along the Alaska Hwy thus far.

Just north of Muncho we caught up with a group of Bentleys. Apparently there were 36 of them on a tour from Vancouver to Alaska.

There was a forest fire just north of Liard River Hot Springs. The road had been closed.

We had intended to stay overnight at the Liard River Hot Sporings Lodge but they were booked with fire fighters. We drove through heavy smoke and fire was still smoldering along the Hwy. Fire fighters and temperary water containers were all along the road.

At Watson Lake all motels were filled with Hwy construction crews and the next motel at Nugget City, was booked with the Bentley Tour.

We decided to drive on to Whitehorse and arrived at 8:15 pm.

The Whitehorse Reception Committee was on hand to greet us as we pulled up to our accomodation for the next 10 days.

That was four days and 5,618 km out of Toronto.
