The traffic was getting noticably heavier as we neared Chicago. We hit a fair bit of construction through Chicago as well as 7 or 8 toll booths. We were through there at about 3:30 pm. and into Michigan at 4:30 (5:30 EDT).

At 8:45 pm we were in Detroit and crossing the Ambassador Bridge to Windsor. We decided not to stop and pushed on to Oakville where Ken dropped me off at about midnight while he arrived in Don Mills atabout 1:30 pm
