George and Hannah were married in All Saints, Bingley, Yorkshire, England. Their grandson John was baptised there as well. John, his wife Susannah, and at least three children emigrated to Australia abt 1852. John's wife Susannah died in Geelong, Victoria, Australia shortly after their arrival leaving him to raise three young children.

All Saints is the Parish Church of Bingley, a beautiful market town in West Yorkshire. It is an ancient church
which has served the congregation and people of Bingley for over a thousand years.
