At 8:45 we crossed the Yukon by ferry and proceeded along the Top of the World Hwy. It was 11'C with some sun and cloud cover. As we rose higher we were driving in the clouds with some rain and the temp dropped to 6'C. We crossed the border into Alaska at about 10:30 am and the clouds lifted. At noon we arrived in Chicken, Alaska as the sun came out and the temp rose to 14'C. There were a lot of weary looking people around and apparently "Chickenstock" that had been celebrated the night before. |

We stopped for a picnic supper in Haines Junction and arrived back in Whitehorse at 9:30 pm. |
