Our 2014 Boat Trip through Holland
Schoorldam, Zaandam, Amsterdam, Muiden and Loosdrecht

After three days at Schoorldam we turned the Panicette around and headed south.

One of the many canal boats we met on the North Holland Canal

The Zaanse Scans, a museum dedicated to preserve historic windmills and houses.

Rob at the wheel and Peter as navigator

Greenpeace moored in the Amsterdam Harbour

In these locks the entire crew was scrambling to ensure that we stayed clear of other boats and set our lines. Then we realized the gentleman in the sailboat ahead of us was sailing solo and had to do the same as us but he did it all by himself, how embarassing.

Muiderslot on the Vecht.

Bob Volkers enjoying the scenery on the Veght south of Muiden.

Windmill in Weesp

Note the bedding airing out in the bedroom window (very Dutch!)

Waiting for a work boat to vacate the last lock at Loosdrecht

Back in Loosdrecht none the worse for wear --- Great trip !!

After returning the boat Rob and I went to Rotterdam for acouple of days
