closest we could get to L'Anse aux Meadows due to the ice conditions.
Buses had been arranged to take us the 130 km to L'Anse aux Meadows. The
weather was wet, windy and cool.
Snorrie was a recreated Norse vessel that had been sailed from Greenland, alongthe Labrador coast, south to the northern tip of NFDL. A three month journey.

Next we went to te L'Anse aux Meadows Information Centre
The actual excavation site of the original Norse village.
The structures were actually built using local peat moss.

Back to the buses.
Onboard the OE the captian took us for a cruise through the ice fields.
The end of another perfect day and back to the Nautalis lounge
and a
briefing on tomorrow's exploration,
as well as a couple of Heiniken
